Hard for me to believe that I am leaving Bali! It’s a place and a people,  who have nurtured me while I took the last 6 months to reflect on my life, to see honestly and clearly who I am, who I want to become, and where am I to go from here.

Bali has been many things – magical, mystical, simple, idyllic, challenging, different – from anything I’ve ever known. More than anything, it has been the perfect setting for me to do the hard work of looking into myself, warts and all.

Again, just like after my first trip to Singapore and all the excitement there, I didn’t want to come back to Bali. Once again, I was given the direction to return, this time assured that it would be a shorter stay before going back to Singapore for a longer time. I feel that this will be my last sojourn in Bali, and I have an inkling that it’s time to reflect on my time there, making closure so-to-speak, including saying thank you and goodbye to all the wonderful villagers who have been so kind to me.

After the hectic activity in Singapore, meeting so many people, teaching qigong classes and doing individual healings, I am faced with the prospect of isolation and solitude once again. Not something I am looking forward to.

Above image is the Esplanade in Singapore, the premier cultural activity center, with lots of free concerts. I was able to attend the Tibetan Monks chanting, something that always brings me into the healing state.

I had hoped that going back to Singapore this time would help me to see clearly where my life is going, all sewed up and handed to me in a neat little package.
